Facility Requirements – Terminal Area Focus Chapter

Facility Requirements – Terminal Area Focus Chapter of the Airport Master Plan reviewed the existing use of space in the Air Passenger Terminal including existing requirements for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening areas, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and life safety constraints; proposed solutions to remediate issues; and defined the eligibility for constructing an Air Passenger Terminal Building Modification Program.  The results of this analysis are contained in the Eligibility and Justification Report for Passenger Terminal Modifications Report.

The Air Passenger Terminal Building Modifications Program calls for the expansion of the existing Terminal to the northwest.  The two-story expansion would include a new expanded area for TSA screening; space to right-size passenger hold rooms to provide four, second level boarding areas; right-size concession area; address specific ADA issues; include a Mother’s Room; and Relocate the Explosive Detection System out of the passenger lobby.
